A little about me and the Mill
Born and raised in Post Falls, Idaho. Thanks in part to my father who has been a part of the timber industry since 1976, that has played a big part in putting me on the path I am on. I'll always cherish the times my mom took me to visit my dad at the mill. Vibrant smells, all the commotion, noise, the vibration of the machinery will forever be stained in my mind. I was and still am sad to see that the industry is almost completely gone from our community. In 2016 I purchased an out of commission sawmill, from twin lakes, (originally from Deary, ID) and set to work to bring it back to life. A relatively small mill, many components dating back to the turn of the last century. Mill itself from around 1920, the 3 saw board edger from 1901, and the heart of the operation, the 1934, 1049 Cubic Inch Caterpillar Diesel, Churning out a whole 110hp at 900rpm. I enjoy being a part of keeping timber industry present in the community, even if it is a small presence, I want to be here, and I want this to grow here.
